This is a list of the changes made in this version of SFAME.
( * New - Fixed # Changed )
v1.2 Released 5/10/96
- Fixed problem SFAME had finding the SFAME.CFG file on some systems.
v1.1 Released 5/7/96
- The SFAME.OVR file was messed up in the v1.0 release. This version
was just a recompiled copy of v1.0.
v1.0 Released 5/6/96
- Fixed macros in quote headers and quote boxes.
- Fixed a problem SFAME had finding the last message read.
- Fixed a problem where SFAME sometimes wouldn't find new users
messages.
- Fixed the cursor keys in the editors block editor. It wouldn't allow
keys 2 or 8 to move the cursor.
- Fixed a problem with the word wrapping in the message quote screen.
- The records in the caller.dat file were a different size than in
previous versions so SFAME couldn't find user names. This is the
reason some users were "new" every time they entered. Run the
included UPDATE.EXE to fix the CALLER.DAT file before using this
version.
# Removed the "Delete message when sent" prompt. All messages are now
marked False.
# When a SFCALLER message is found during a message scan, the message
date is compared to the callers last logon date. If the message is
newer it will be displayed. If the caller has logged on since the
message was written, it will be marked as received.
# Callers can now use the arrow keys without doorway mode. This only
works with some communications programs that send an ANSI code for
arrow keys. Procomm Plus and some other programs do this.
* When you copy or move a message, you can now enter a route-to address
and change the public/private status of the new message.
* You can create your own MAINMENU.BBS/CLR display files to replace
the SFAME main menu.
* Supports the new lines added to the SPITFIRE v3.51 drop files.
* Can alter conference queue by listing conferences and moving a Litebar
to select a conference. The litebar is only used for local users and
callers connected at 9600 and above. Callers below 9600 or with color
turned off will see an arrow instead of a litebar.
* Added a litebar to the change conference and list messages screens.
The litebar is only used for local users and callers above 9600. The
user must also have color turned on.
* Can search a Fidonet nodelist in the message editor. The nodelist
can be for any network if its the same format as Fidonet. You can
search for text or a node number. If matching text is found, the line
and node number is displayed. You can select the tag letter next to
the node address and the message will be routed to that node.
* Can add, edit, or remove routing info in the editor by pressing Alt+F.
* Sped up the message scan. On a Pentium 100mhz it only takes 2 seconds
to search 75000 messages.
* The sysop can have a CONF#.BBS/CLR file thats displayed after a user
selects which conference to enter a message in. The # is the
conference number. This can be used to show the user how to address
internet email or any other info.
* Added a Delete Name option to the address book.
